The Format:
15 MC's, 5 turntablists and 5 beatmakers are invited to be a part of 5 spontaneous jam sets where the participants are drawn from envelopes by the host. Each set consists of 3 MC's, a turntablist and a beatmaker. These sets run for approximately 15 to 20 minutes each and what happens is anyone's guess. In 2006 we have a special live set from Scribble Jam runner-up Dos Noun(USA) and other live performances from local acts Mata & Must and J-Q-L(Ladies Luv).

Ballarat's "peaceful emcee", Esvee travels to Melbourne with guest performers Class A, Timmy C and DJ Bogues for one night at The Carlton Music Room on Friday March 24th. Esvee's debut album, "Sovereignty" dropped late last year and features some of the rawest, conscious hip-hop out of regional Victoria, reminiscent of majestic Geelong duo Field Trip. Support comes from another two awesome duos, Fortknight Productions plus Mata & Must. DJ Bogues drops the hot tracks between acts. $10 Entry, too good.

The location alone is amazing looking. They really have scored the goods with this one. Its near Olympic park, but looks like it's in some awesome regional area up the north coast. Only a 30/40 min drive from the city centre. Have a bo-peep on the website to be convinced.
